Who Are We?

We are a small, solution focused company, founded by an experienced, senior Children’s Social Care Manager.

We design and build mobile apps to solve problems experienced by both staff and children and young people in social care.

We have found that apps are the best way to communicate and engage with the young people with whom we work.

We are based on the Isle of Wight, but are able to work anywhere in the Country.

Our Design & Development Process

We work with individual Local Authorities to design and build apps that meet their particular needs.  We also customise our existing apps to each Local Authority corporate identity.

We ensure that we involve children and young people in the design and development process of all of our apps.  Our apps do not store any individual data and are therefore GDPR compliant.

Problem Identification

Firtsly we identify a problem that needs solving (or our partners or young people do).  We then consider together if the solution may be reached with a mobile app.

Design and Development

Once we have a viable concept, we set about designing and developing the app, it’s content and design, always checking back with our partners and young people.

Ideas and Concepts

If we feel that the idea can be resolved using a mobile app, then together we consider different ideas and concepts until we find one that we agree could solve the problem.

Launch & Monitoring

Once we are happy with the design and concept of the app, we will undertake a “soft” launch to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.  Once these have been ironed out we will formally launch the app.

Completed apps can be customised to individual Local Authority designs and branding, and additional local content can be added.

Our Current Apps

UASC App

 

In 2019 our founder wrote a book for people who are working with Unaccomapnied Asylum Seeking Children.  It contains comprehensive profiles of 52 Countries and is over 700 pages long.  He then then developed this app so that workers could have all of this information at their fingertips when out in the field.

The app also includes guidance on Age Assessments, Immigration legislation and much more.  The app has recently been updated to reflect the latest 2002 legislation and guidance.

Care Leavers App

We developed this app to ensure that Care leavers have all of the information that they need when they go out into the world.

Children In Care App

This app is the first of it’s kind and is designed for children in Care.  It explains everything a child coming into care, or a child already in care, needs to know, in a child friendly way.  It can alleviate their fears and anxieties and support and guide them through their care journey.
